The context.

In 2012, SNCF launched its bus service, called iDBus, which became Ouibus in 2015 following the Macron law. In 2019, BlaBlaCar acquired Ouibus to offer a complementary transportation service to car sharing.
The aim is to provide information on traffic conditions and help drivers and passengers in case of difficulties.

Customer issues

The Macron law has put many players in the bus transport sector under scrutiny and has seen the emergence of new competitors.
In this context, the challenge of innovation is paramount and involves the digitization of numerous processes.
Since 2016, we have been accompanying Ouibus and then BlaBlaCar in the development of business solutions to ensure the smooth running of the bus network.

What we have achieved

Creation of a mobile solution for drivers, which allows them to indicate the bus route they are taking and to board passengers
Development of the "Alfred" tool, which helps the network control team to monitor traffic conditions and provide assistance to drivers and passengers in case of difficulties.
Development of an external API that allows BlaBlaCar partners to integrate bus fares into their websites.
Design of screens at stations to inform passengers of upcoming bus departures.
